Head of the Office

Engineer Muhammad Nazrul Islam is working as Superintending Engineer at Superintending Engineer (Minor Irrigation), BADC, Mymensingh Circle, Mymensingh Office from 02 February 2023. He has been promoted and has been serving as Superintending Engineer in various circles since October 21, 2021 AD. Before this, he has been performing his professional duties with great reputation as Superintending Engineer, Executive Engineer and Assistant Engineer respectively in various Circles, Regions and Zones of Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation (BADC). He has been the Focal Point Officer of various projects across Bangladesh for various projects of BADC starting from formulation of DPP to implementation of project formulation activities associated with every step. Moreover, he has also served as Project Director of several projects. Currently, he is performing the duties of Superintending Engineer (Minor Irrigation), BADC, Mymensingh Circle, Mymensingh as well as Project Director of Mymensingh Division and Tangail & Kishoreganj Districts of Dhaka Division Minor Irrigation Development Project (1st Revised, Completed).


Engineer Muhammad Nazrul Islam completed Master of Science (MS) in Irrigation and Water Management and Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Engineering from Bangladesh Agricultural University. The topic of his MS thesis was the effect of drip irrigation on crop production. He is committed to do his best from his position in making the Irrigation Wing of BADC a more efficient wing using his research and academic knowledge.
